It was actually more than a success, its was a freaking smash hit. The class sold out! We actually had to turn people away. The energy in the room was unreal, New York’s aspiring stylists have really got it going on.

For those of you who missed our first NYC class and to those who were sadly turned away … don’t worry because we are coming back to NYC really soon!!! In fact, registration is open for our next class right now.

Today is day one of Class 1 at School Of Style in New York and we are soooo excited! There are tons of students here (50 to be exact) and they are all pretty darn fly. New York fashion is on another level because all of our students look like they themselves could be in a magazine.

All sweet fashions aside, all our students are very eager to learn. Everyone is alert, paying attention, and are all asking great questions.

Well, we better get back to class. We just wanted to give a quick update because in case you didn’t get it … we’re freaking excited!!!

We arrived in New York late last night and got all settled into our very cool hotel, which also happens to be the location of this weekend’s class.  When we walked into the hotel we both knew that we fit the LA “laid back” stereotype perfectly. Why? Because we felt like we were in a foreign country, that’s why :) The hotel was blasting indie music and everyone was just getting their nights started at midnight, while we were ready for bed. LOL!

No, we didn’t go right to bed … New York wouldn’t let us do something silly like that. So we ate some unhealthily delicious food from The Breslin and explored the city a bit. Not a bad time for our first few hours on the East Coast.

This morning, however, went a little differently … New York kicked our ass!! Seriously, how to you New Yorkers do it? It took us 2 hours and a lot of drama just to go to Whole Foods (which was 1/2 a mile away and yes we took a cab).  Can’t a couple of stylists get a bunch of bananas and some avocados without getting pushed, shoved, and yelled at? Guess not.

Well we made it out alive and checked out our classroom space at the Ace Hotel. It’s REALLY AMAZING!!! Seriously, to all 50 students who are coming tomorrow, you are going to LOVE IT!!!
